Cory Sprinkles is a lighting designer and technician who is originally from a small town in southern Michigan. He received his B.A. from the University of Toledo where he really found his love and passion for lighting design. Upon graduation Cory attended graduate school to further his education and get himself ready to teach the next generation of designers. He was awarded his Masters degree from Kent State University in 2019.

Cory has designed at many reginal theatres around the United State. Some of his residences include: The Lake Dillon Theatre Company, Porthouse Theatre, The Rubber City Theatre, The Glacity Theatre Company, and currently at The New World Symphony.

Cory believes that a great team of collaborators is at the core of all designs. One of his favorite things about lighting is being able to bring stories to life in a beautiful, creative, and collaborative way. Some of his most cherished memories are of watching the reactions of the audience to small almost unnoticeable shifts in the lights.

In his free time Cory enjoys streaming video games, performing as his drag persona Ellie D. Sprinkles as well as helping his friends and family with any tech issues that they may have.
